JBMA PTO Meeting Minutes

March 28, 2012

Summary:

The March PTO meeting focused on the events planned for the remainder of the year:  30th Anniversary Celebration, scavenger hunt, and teacher appreciation.


Minutes:

The February PTO meeting was held Thursday, March 28, 2013.  The following PTO Officers & parents were present for the meeting:

The March meeting focused on making final decisions for the 30th Anniversary Celebration.  After some discussion, it was agreed that given the late date and that save the date announcements have been sent, the 30th anniversary events will be held April 20 at the school.  Times will be confirmed but tentatively the event is scheduled for 12-3 and will include a casual catered lunch that can be eaten outside and music entertainment.  It was decided that for logistical reasons, the scavenger hunt would be held at the 30th anniversary event for those that want to participate.

 

The other issue discussed was the teacher appreciation week.  It is scheduled for the week of May 6.  We will be sending around detailed information to all parents.  The PTO will provide a lunch on Friday May 10th so we will be looking for parent volunteers to cover lunch and classrooms for a couple of hours over lunchtime.  Each child should plan on bringing their teachers small gifts each day of the week.  We will be sending out details closer to May so watch your email and child’s backpack.

In other news:

 

  • The PTO will be paying middle school students who babysat during the early March evening meeting.
  • The school has agreed to purchase $300 worth of outside toys for the toddler/aftercare area.  PTO officers will purchase them the week of April 1.
